WAYS TO REDUCE YOUR
EXPOSURE TO TOXINS:

Buy wild caught fish (such as salmon).
•
Make sure your meat products are hormone and
antibiotic free.
•
Install a granular activated carbon filter for your faucet
to filter out chemicals such as atrazine.
•
Use BPA-free water bottles.
•
Avoid plastics with the numbers 3 or 7 on the bottom.
They can leach BPA. Look for the safer 1,2,4, 5 and 6
which are usually BPA free.
•
Never microwave plastics.
•
Keep water bottles cool.
•
Eat fewer canned foods. Choose fresh or frozen.
Tuna can be found in pouches that do not contain
BPA.
•
Avoid using non-stick Teflon pans. Scratches in pans
release the chemicals inside.
•
Buy meats from the butcher counter, instead of
pre-packaged. Ask to wrap meats in brown paper
instead of plastic.
•
Get rid of commercial air fresheners. Opt instead
for natural essential oils.
•
Read labels! Discard personal care products that
contain any form of the word “parabem.”
